Forever Hero is the heroic story of a young Maltese soldier sent out to defend the islands from the enemy’s attacks. In WWII Malta was the most heavily bombed place on earth, suffering catastrophic losses yet at the end of the war the island and its people remained undefeated. The main protagonist of this track is a young father who leaves his family behind to fight for his country. During an enemy attack, his wife and daughter take cover in one of the island’s air raid shelters. Believing that the danger has passed, they emerge out of the shelter only to lose their lives during a surprise enemy attack. The father returns home to find out about the tragic news and despite being decorated with various medals of honour and valour, he realises that he has nothing left to live for, which after all, is the grim reality of every war.
